Tintype

Graham & Brown Paintable vinyl textured wallpaperExquisitely maintained or carefully restored tin panels adorn the ceilings of many a fine establishment in Olde New York. The coveted embellishment can even drive up the price of a rental and more importantly serve as a fire barrier. Popularized in the Victorian Age, they were the American answer to costly European plaster work. Today, you too can fake it with considerably less expensive vinyl wallpaper. Easily adhering to any surface, and paintable as well, the wallpaper adds a touch of class to your bachelorette pad. Me likey. ($25/roll)

Obamarama

Sold out on store.barackobama.com, this limited edition poster print from artist Shepard Fairey fetches minimum $300 from eBay. The steely visage of the historic candidate in the most American of colors can be yours for a premium. That's right, you too can own a piece of history, but it's gonna cost ya. Years from now you can wax nostalgic on Antiques Roadshow on how little you paid for a piece of presidential campaign memorabilia worth so much more. ($300+)

Three Card Monte

3x5 notecardsI recently became acquainted with the Getting Things Done (GTD) method of time management. I haven't read the book, but from what I gleaned online it's pretty simple; mostly involving checklists and writing everything you need to get done on a 3x5 note card. This simple concept has made the author millions; and book accessory company Levengers has capitalized with these pre-printed note cards. Choose from To Do cards, Project Planner Cards, Seven-Day Planner cards or a combination of the three. A 51 card sampler of all three sells for $8.
