Whilst on a fashion binge at Saks, I came across this super-sexy satin and silk georgette leopard-print balconette bra and brief by Dolce & Gabanna, $280. The ruffle detail on the panty and the strip of black lace on the bra are the proverbial icing on the cake. Lovey Lovey! More and more designers are getting into the lingerie business, Vera Wang, Betsey Johnson, even Badgley Mischka with something called Couture Lingerie. Yes please.

Nip/Tuck
Saks knows exactly who their bread and butter customers are... Women of a "certain age" who have money to burn on cosmetic surgery, expensive clothing and more cosmetic surgery. Which is probably why they used this model for the main Dresses page. Not that I'm dissing mind you, kudos to Saks for using models of all ages and hues. Mrs. Thang is modeling a silk vintage print dress by Charles Nolan which would look ever-so-cute on me. Although, the sticker on this sweet little number gives me the vapors. ($408)

Vintageous!
I love vintage clothing, but I detest vintage shoes. First of all, they're funky, usually stained with footsweat and generally gross-looking; secondly, the women of the past must've had tiny feet because I've never seen any that could fit my 9.5's. Re-Mix footwear however, produces authentic reproductions from the 1920's to the 1950's. These handtooled, leather ankle-strap platforms are the cat's meow! They come in red too, but you can see the details better in the tan. Kinda pricey at $325, but a worthy investment yes?

These Boots Were Made For...
Ummm... Not exactly sure what these cotton canvas Aitana espadrille boots boots were made for. But they do have the traditional jute soles and are either very clever or a really bad idea. I would love to try on a pair just to see. According to the description they can be scrunched down for that totally 80's look. I'd wear them with a denim mini and a Juicy Couture velour track jacket. For $62, they may be a worthy wardrobe experiment, plus you can pretty much guarantee that nobody else will be rocking those in the BK.

Roman Holiday
Sexy Italian men on their Vespa scooters racing about Rome at madcap speeds whistling at the girls and wearing this hopsack cap by TracyWatts. ($160) But this version is for women and methinks I would look quite fetching in it. Would Ms. Audrey Hepburn have this chapeau in her collection? You betta believe it!

Glove You Long Time
Now that Spring is upon us I can't wear my hot ass cashmere-lined leather gloves which have protected me thus far from subway grime. It's really quite disgusting what some people will do right before clinging to a poll; mostly coughing flem into their hands or picking their noses. Eww. I'm not into the Purell, so it may be wise to invest in some cotton, lace or fingerless leather gloves. LaCrasia's website is going through an overhaul so I found these from Caroline Aamato instead. $125 is a bit steep, but germaphobia ain't cheap.

Luxify the Boudoir
In an attempt to luxify my boudoir from dorm room chic to lair of seduction, I've decided on a silver silk duvet to compliment the purple and platinum theme. It's got a subtle bamboo print which won't clash with my dramatic floor-to-ceiling velvet curtains and for only $179 (full)! I can stick my tired 8-year old, but still warm, down comforter inside to fluff it out and will probably pick up some accent pillows from westelm.

Fantasy Shopping
What is fantasy shopping? It's one of my favorite pasttimes. I go to a website and fill my shopping cart with everything I would buy if I won the lottery, racking up thousands of dollars before I abandon the damn thing screwing up the company's tracking codes and such. And I don't feel guilty about the $30K at Zappos or the $5K at Ross Simmons where I have of late been obsessed with the rock candy bracelets. A lot of the jewelry there is pretty affordable and grown up looking. C'mon tax return check! Mama needs a 30 Carat Amethyst Bracelet for only $127!

Gladiatrix in the City
Crush the men underfoot with these badass Gladiatrix sandals. It's pretty difficult to wear a heel without a platform in my opinion... I get em both with these BCBG Max Azria Amaranta's in Rust. The leather wrap detail on the heels, the grommets and the leather flower bow just speak to me. They're saying, "get a damn pedicure woman!" 15% off at Zappos.

Bring on the Strip Poker
I covet this lingerie set! Purple is my favorite color and who the heck doesn't love lace? But not just any lace honey — Frence Dentelle Leavers lace and dotted Swiss tulle to be precise. I read that from conception to the finished piece of lace, seventeen separate steps are necessary...talk about labor intensive! Trimmed in contrasting teal ribbon, this set from Huit is simply precious. Purchase the bra at Azaleas, one of my fav NYC boutiques... while supplies last. Sold out everywhere else; if you can find the boyshortie in a size 6 please let me know!

Diamonds Are Forever, But...
Topaz will do! Check out this lovely 26.90 Carat white topaz bracelet set in Silver for the sale price of $123.25. Lovey lovey! I'm usually trolling Ruby Lane for the vintage rhinestone bracelets, but why drop cash on the old fakes when you can get new semi-precious for less?
