Remote Viewing
You may not have telepathy or clairvoyance, but people will think so when the channels inexplicably change every time you're around. That is, if you've got a ninja remote small enough to attach to your key chain and powerful enough to work on most popular television brands. Wouldn't it be deliciously evil to change the channel during a crucial play in the big game without anyone knowing it was you? Or be the last word in fights over the remote control? Almost too much fun to fathom! ($9)

Cloche Encounters
First popularized in the 1920s, the cloche hat was designed for women with short-cropped hair. Flappers showed off that lovely expanse of skin stretching from nape to collar, yet retained that certain air of mystery with the brim pulled down low. French for "bell," the sleek and close-fitting shape is a fashion classic this updated fur felt version has a removable flower pin. Oh la la! ($255)

Like, Totally
If you live north of the Mason Dixon line then get acquainted with the fine art of layering warm clothing. Basics like cashmere turtlenecks and opaque tights in a variety of hues are the necessities you'll need to begin with. A fabulous knit dress or five, like this one from See By Chloe is the perfect topper. Pair with red patent ankle booties and chunky bangles worn over the sweater. Very Cyndi Lauperish don't ya think? Old Friend
Don't say ugg, cause these sheepskin slippers will become your old friend quicker than you can say Golden Girls. Sure, they're grannylicious, but they'll keep your toes toasty and dry. Plus, handy rubber soles with outdoor tread make these perfect for hauling out the recycling on garbage day. ($46)

Conveyor Belt
I like this plain red leather tab belt for its simplicity. Not too flashy, but rather innocuous even, the natural colored elastic cincher is the perfect compliment for those belt-less vintage dresses taking up space in your closet. A shiny gold tone button serves as the closure mechanism. Fasten the belt over an oversized white button down shirt with black leggings and flats for a sleek mod look. ($59)

Dress Rehearsal
Who doesn’t love the feel of cashmere? It’s soft, plush and warming… everything you want in winter wear. Brighten up a dreary November day with a bright yellow cashmere sweater dress from MaxStudio. Currently on sale, the reduced price tag is a bit more reasonable for a cashmere garment. Both flirty and feminine; pair with tights and an ankle bootie for that long-legged look. ($168)

Hair Apparent
I like to imagine that the ancient Egyptians (the royal ones anyways) kept those heavy wigs in place with beautiful 22kt gold hair ornaments like this copy from the Metropolitan Museum. A fabulous solid piece of handcrafted hair jewelry, the museum commissioned limited quantities for collectors, connoisseurs, and fashionistas. Traditionally used materials, lapis to ward off evil, and turquoise for luck and healing, are carved into the shape of lotus blossoms to decorate the fan shaped crown. This one gets future heirloom status. ($5,750)

Annie Get Your Gun
Mosey along the frozen paths to work in this stylish take on Western meets equestrian leather and brass boots. The best of both worlds, a classic buckle and front guard harkens the English hunt while the sensible 2.5" cone-heels and pull-tabs scream Western chic. Pair with a long flowy skirt and a gypsy top a la Stevie Knicks or simply tuck in jeans and pull on an oversized cashmere sweater and delicate gold accessories. ($468)

Golden Gloves
If you want to splurge on one accessory this season, let it be a pair of long metallic leather gloves. They're actually very practical to wear, not only do gloves help to retain heat and provide a barrier against germs, they also eliminate noticeable ashiness, and protect a manicure. The length of this pair rises just below the elbow, fabulous with a holiday party dress, and a cropped fur jacket. ($395)

Suit Yourself
I know what you're thinking... when did bodysuits make a comeback? That's right, the bodysuit is making a comebac. Popular in the 90s, the shirt versions that snapped at the crotch were supposed to ensure your blouse never untucked. This halter version from luxe lingerie designer Kiki De Montparnasse is stitched together from jersey and stretch chiffon and not made for poolside. Designed as a versatile home loungewear item, pair with sexy high heels if you dare. ($350)

Velvety Smooth
Looking for red carpet-worthy shoes? Look no further than these velvet and gold leather sandals from Roberto Cavalli. Not be seen in H&M stores, it's this type of glamour and detail Mr. Cavalli has in fine department stores like Bergdorf's and Printemps. A classic shape with contemporary details, the design fits well with vintage clothing from any of the past hundred years. Make these your special occasion shoes. ($850)

Paper Doll
Mmm, cashmere. That's what you'll be saying once you slip on this luxurious soft 100% cashmere sweater dress. Contrasting white stitches outline a v-neck wrap dress tied with a sash belt, a red and white scarf protruding from the breast pocket and a cuff at each sleeve are a clever part of the design. Pair with cheeky red and white MiuMiu pumps, textured stockings, and a snug fitting cloche hat. Lovey! ($475)

Happy Camper
Straight out of a futuristic cult film, the Camper high boot in dark grey canvas and black perforated leather trim is the stuff of ordinary superheroes. The rubber sole allows for ease of movement and the leather ankle-tie embellishment adds that touch of femininity. For the Sporty Spice meets Amelia Earhart look, the casual utilitarian boot is best paired with tucked in black jeans, an aviator jacket and sunglasses, frilly lace blouse, a puma gym bag, and delicate gold jewelry for contrast. Flower Belle
It's not Dior fine jewelry, but a lovely vintage rhinestone necklace set in gold tone metal. Costume jewelry is best worn for fine events where bling is de rigueur. Channel Brooklyn native Mae West for wardrobe cues; long, clingy, silk sheaths with low draped necklines, a fur cape, bejeweled clutch purse, and man killer shoes. "Say what you want about long dresses, but they cover a multitude of shins." ($750)

Peace on Earth
The holiday season is pretty much the only time most people send cards to one another nowadays, therefore selecting a good one and getting it there on time is of major importance. If you always forget to send them out on time, go for New Year's cards instead, the more ambiguous, the better. Printed on 100% recycled paper and printed with non toxic ink, this set of 6 peace sign holiday cards from Pancake&Franks will delight a myriad of friends; peace activists, green people, even those who desire victory in war... bases covered. Pearl Jam
Every girl needs pearls; a traditional 16" single strand to begin with and something a bit funky for a second piece. My vote is for the graduated quadruple strand freshwater pearl necklace, connected by Swarovski crystal studded hardware to a single pearl strand with a metal closure. Pearls can turn any outfit into a class act — decidedly vintage inspired, wear the delicate gems with a jewel-toned party dress, a bridal gown or even denim and peep toe pumps. Lovey! ($139)

Rabbit Hunting
Up to 40% of body heat is lost through the head, therefore heavy duty gear, like this man's plaid wool and shearling Anchorage hat, is necessary for the most cold and windy snow days. Equal parts Elmer Fudd, Fargo, and punk rock, the black and red plaid check and oversized fit are the main attractions. Made by your grandpa's company, Woolrich, prospecting outfitters since the days of log cabins and such. ($45)

Pardon My French
Throw out those horrid velour track suits so trendy from a few years back, and pick up something a bit more sophisticated to keep warm and cutesy like this french terry pullover. Unlike ordinary terry cloth used for towels and such, french terry loops on one side and has a smooth finish on the other. Feels like a thick knit jersey, very soft, comfy and best of all, stretchy. Lounge about the house or run weekend errands in style without looking like a sloppy miss. Perfect for casual Fridays too, this one's on my holiday list fer sure. ($114)

Flask Forward
A lovely addition to any New York City fashionista's "Go Bag," the SIGG Classic water bottle holds 13.5 oz of your favorite beverage. The smooth apothecary bottle shape and old-fashioned attached wire stopper harken back to the days of the speakeasy. Forged from a single piece of pure nontoxic aluminuim, the interior of the bottle is sprayed with enamel. Wiskey on Friday, water on Sunday; you won't be able to taste the difference because flavors don't leach. Available in a variety of sizes and colors, this one's the best. ($28)

Paper Wardrobe
The art of letter-writing is largely lost amongst the myriad of electronic gadgets we now have at our disposal. But isn't it so nice and classy to receive a real hand-written letter? Even better to be the one sending it. But where to find fine writing paper and matching envelopes? At Kate's Paperie of course, and this set of deluxe stationery set with matching storage compartment is on sale! An excellent gift for the budding writer or for oneself. You never know when you'll need to impress with a handwritten note. ($75)

Expect to hear, "Hey foxy lady" when you step out in this fabulous felted wool coat from New York design firm Andrew Marc. A step above your average wool trench, this baby has a leather belt and leather cuff belt-adjusters, comes in handy during a cold and windy-day. You'll look like a character from Doctor Zhivago with that touch of raccoon fur framing your face. Extra deep front flap pockets keep your metrocard secure and the beautiful construction and exceptional materials ensure the endurance of the coat for many winters. ($995)

Green Clean
Sure you eat organic and separate your garbage but the clothes you wear everyday, your sheets and underwear even, are filled with toxic chemials because of your generic laundry detergent. It may smell like a "Mountain Spring" or "Clean Breeze," but those added perfumes, phosphates, and other harmful ingredients aggrevate allergies and worse. Enter ECOS Free & Clear Laundry Detergent, plant-based and non-toxic it gently cleans your laundry without leaving that horrible overpowering scent which I so despise. Lovey! ($17)

The Cat's Meow
What to wear over that cute party dress? A tart little leopard print cropped jacket that's what. Wear with the cuffs up or down, buttoned or unbuttoned, either way you'll look smashing. From Georgio Armani's "bridge line" Emporio Armani, it's perhaps a tad expensive for 100% Polyester, but it sure is cute! I'll take one. Purr. ($695)

Go, Speed Racer! Go!
What makes a car a classic? This is a most excellent question because there is no one answer. Some say that it must have been manufactured in a certain era, other cite those built in limited quantities or those which are no longer produced. The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia fits all of those categories. Only 365,912 coupes and 79,326 convertibles were produced between 1955 and 1974, making this a fairly rare automobile. Based upon an Italian design, it was considered to be Volkswagens "glamour car" in comparison to the utilitarian VW Beetle and Bus. Automotive haute couture if you will. Once upon a time I owned a 1974 orange hardtop, and I do believe I will own another once again... they're quite addictive and handle like a Porche Boxter. The ultimate accessory for the Brooklyn Glamour Girl. ($8,600)

Tell Me About It, Stud
I got chills when I first peeped this super-hot studded platform sandal. Burberry has really stepped up their accessories game, I couldn't decide between blogging about these shoes, the quilted gauntlet gloves, or the patent leather zip opera gloves. The ultimate power shoe won; it goes perfectly with an 80s Gianni Versace bondage dress. A convenient back zip closure ensures that you can slip in and out of these gorgeous sandals with ease. Lovey! Swash Buckled
Avast Ye! Take heed of this daytime clutch purse. Typically employed to compliment evening wear; sleek, tubular and shiny have been the most popular ingredients. The Shiny Squirrel, a showcase for new designers, offers an interesting alternative in a soft calfskin leather square buckle clutch, successfully bucking the trend. Fits comfortably underarm and most excellent paired with skinny jeans tucked into fold over boots. More pirate than pilgrim, the buckle puts me in the mind of Captain Jack Sparrow. Aye. ($120)
